Christina Pleizier - Fiber Art Christina studied at the Ontario College of Art, specializing in textile arts. She has exhibited at various
locations in the Ottawa area, and has several works in private collections. She also designs and displays liturgical art.
Artist's statement:
 I love to work with textiles, a medium which gives off warmth in both texture and colour. My first love was
tapestry weaving, but I have since moved to piecing and quilting as well as embroidery, creating images in fabric and thread.
Although quilting is an age-old craft, it has been revitalized as a modern art medium growing ever more popular. I welcome
the opportunity to use it to translate the visions in my head to a medium that transcends time, taking my inspiration from
the beauty of creation around me.
